Here are two centers to take your CNA classes in Utah State. Both of these programs prepare students to appear the Utah’s CNA certification exam.
Salt Lake Community College- A certificate program for Certified Nursing Assistant is offered by Salt Lake Community College at the Meadowbrook Campus of its Applied Technology School. SLCC is the largest institution of higher learning in the state that offers over 100 associate degrees and certificate program. Utah State licensing act outline 130 hours of CNA training classes for those students who want to be a Certified Nursing Assistant. Also, the student must pass a criminal background check and receive immunizations for MMA, Hepatitis, tetanus and TB prior to joining CNA classes.
The CNA program includes an overview of disease processes and therapeutic approaches in treating them. Students are also required to complete a varied course of studies in anatomy, physiology, bacteriology and human interaction. This CNA training program specifically includes Patient Care, Theory and Lab, Patient Care Clinical and Employment Workshop. Four weeks of classes is required for students attending day classes while six weeks of classes is required for students attending night classes.

Weber State University- Ogden-Weber Applied Technology College of Weber State University offers CNA training classes to students. With a 35-year old history, Weber State University offers over 70 certificate programs. The schedule of the classes can be set the students themselves. Moreover the course can be completed on a flexible timeline. Prior to attending CNA classes, students are required to complete a TB screen test, drug screen test as well as pass a background check.
The students completing the CNA program shall have the required medical knowledge and skills necessary to work as a Certified Nursing Assistant. This CNA training program specifically includes Nursing Assistant, Nursing Assistant Clinical LTC and Clinical Preparation. Additionally, students are required to complete 8-hour clinical rotations at healthcare facilities.
